Fundraising success for local Zumba Instructor
Yeovil’s annual Super Saturday event which took place on the 28th September saw local Zumba Instructor raise hundreds for the Yeovil Hospital Charity Breast Cancer Unit Appeal.
The Quedam Shopping Centre teamed up with local dance teacher and Zumba instructor Hannah Beaumont to help raise money for the YHC Breast Cancer Unit Appeal through three hours of dancing. Speaking on behalf of the Quedam Shopping Centre, Marketing Manager Aimee-jade Kingdon said, “Through determination and great relationships Hannah managed to raise over £850 for the Breast Cancer Unit Appeal, our charity of the year and created a fantastic atmosphere throughout the Centre”.
Hannah Beaumont of Yeovil, a previous Westfield Academy student, owns and runs her own Dance company which caters for everyone from age 3 upwards. After running a ‘Zumbathon’ at the Quedam Shopping Centre during the annual Super Saturday event, Hannah explained what raising this money meant to her; “I cannot believe the level of support that I have had from everyone. We came together to create something positive and fun and I could not be prouder of the result. It feels great to be able to help towards a local charity. I’d like to thank all the businesses and people who donated and all those who danced on the day”.
Sarah Cherry, Community Fundraiser for YHC said “We were delighted to hear that Hannah was raising money for the Breast Cancer Unit Appeal. A big thank you to Hannah and all those who took part in the Zumbathon at the Quedam for their donations, they are gratefully received”.
