New Year, New Store!
Pen hit paper for local personalised-pottery company Pot Doodles on 14th January after a successful six-week pop-up shop at the Quedam Shopping Centre, Yeovil.
Pot Doodles, founded and owned by Elizabeth Clark, opened a temporary store in the Quedam Shopping Centre on the 14th November through the Quedam’s ‘pop up scheme’ with the intention of providing a family-friendly craft area during the festive period. After being fully booked for nearly every session, receiving fantastic reviews and lots of recommendations, Lizzie soon realised that there was potential to look at a more permanent location within Yeovil.
“I have been thrilled by the response to the pop-up shop and inspired by the folk of Yeovil and surrounding areas to stay and offer a more permanent Pot Doodles ‘paint your own pottery’ shop. The Quedam is a clean, safe, friendly space; ideal for families to come and create and make pottery gifts and keepsakes” said Lizzie.
Situated next to Boswells Café, Pot Doodles have a prime location in the Centre with easy access to food, retail shopping and parking. Offering activities such as pottery painting, clay workshops, fabric painting, baby hand & footprints, casts and keepsakes; Pot Doodles has become a hub for families to get arty and crafty whilst meeting new people.
General Manager James Tovey explains why he’s delighted to welcome Pot Doodles to the Quedam Shopping Centre. “I knew from my first meeting with Lizzie that the Pot Doodles concept was one that would not only work over the Christmas period but had the potential to succeed throughout the year. Customers now demand a brilliant experience as well as fantastic product; Pot Doodles delivers on both of these. We love working alongside local, independent businesses and by offering a more flexible and personal approach, we hope we can enable them to join the great line up of stores we already have here. I couldn’t be more excited to welcome Pot Doodles to the Quedam. I for one will be bringing both my daughters down to create a couple of memento’s”.
