Shop Plastic-Free

‘Take No Wrap’ is the second local business to sign a lease with the Quedam Centre in the last week and General Manager James Tovey says, ‘there’s even more to come’.

Founded by Liz Kleve and Linda Budzynski, ‘Take No Wrap’ is Yeovil’s first plastic-free eco shop offering you an eco friendly shopping experience. Selling unpackaged dry foods such as pasta, rice, grains, plastic free toiletries and eco-friendly alternatives to disposable products, Take No Wrap will be a one-of-a-kind within Yeovil’s main Shopping Centre.

Take No Wrap moved from a dream to reality after Liz became aware of an individual attempting to be waste free for a month. She was so inspired that she shared her enthusiasm through social media where Linda saw the post and suggested opening a shop. After months of researching, visiting other Zero Waste shops and attending events, Liz and Linda held a competition on Facebook to ask for suggestions for a company name; the general public picked ‘Take No Wrap’.

Liz and Linda explained why having a plastic-free eco store means so much to them. “We want to help others shop Plastic-Free and it’s our aim to make that transition easier. Our shop will allow you to bring your own clean containers and fill them with products of your choice.  From loose-leaf tea, toiletries and oils to free-range eggs, spices and laundry products - you can buy as much or as little as you like. As independents, we are willing to go that extra mile to help you shop green, shop local and shop plastic free”.

In addition to the products, Liz and Linda aim to run workshops both fun and educational. The store will also become a collection point for your terrarecycling, such as toothbrushes, bottle tops and pump tops from bottles. Many of their products are locally sourced and made in Britain.

James Tovey, General Manager of Quedam Shopping Centre said “I’m thrilled at the prospect of Take No Wrap joining us at the Quedam. Liz and Linda’s enthusiasm is certainly infectious and I'm sure that our customers will enjoy discovering what that this new store will have to offer.”

Over the next few weeks, Liz and Linda will be busy fitting out 4 Ivel Square ready for their official launch event which is due to take place in early March.
